Special interest groups within ACDS include:
Executive Committee: Coordinates and oversees the work of all ACDS committees; monitors policy and procedures in decision making; schedules general and executive committee meetings. Membership Committee: Pursues new avenues of outreach for membership; maintains membership roles; updates membership directory. Workshop and Conference Committee: Plans and organizes education programming for ACDS members and the larger professional community. Hospitality Committee: Arranges venues for workshops and conferences; coordinates seating, refreshmens, A/V equipment, etc. Newsletter Committee: Edits and publishes the ACDS newsletter. Advocacy Committee: Provides guidelines for action on advocacy issues that relate to children and families.
